New military capabilities: The United States sent Ukraine GLSDB missiles with a range of 150 km
We have repeatedly written that the United States has promised to provide Ukraine with GLSDB missiles. It looks like the ammunition will soon be in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The information was shared by Politico. The first batch of bombs has already been shipped and is expected to arrive in Ukraine today, January 31. According to U.S. officials, the new weapons will allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to improve their strike capabilities.
The GLSDB is an experimental weapon that is a hybrid of the GBU-39 small diameter bomb and the rocket engine from the M26 rocket. The maximum launch range is 150 km. Ukraine has highly mobile artillery missile systems HIMARS and M270 to use GLSDB. The missiles are manufactured by the American company Boeing in cooperation with the Swedish company SAAB.
