The capital will pilot the introduction of adjacent traffic lights for pedestrians and cyclists.

By November 1, 2023, these intersections will be using modified pedestrian traffic light lenses with pedestrian and bicycle images.

The experiment was implemented on:

  • ave. Stepan Bandera Ave. Obolonsky;
  • st. Proreznaya str. Borys Grinchenko;
  • st. Ivan Franko str. Bohdan Khmelnytsky;
  • st. Spasskaya – ul. Voloskaya;
  • st. Honoré de Balzac str. Ronald Reagan Street (formerly Theodore Dreiser Street);
  • st. Honoré de Balzac str. Serge Lifar;
  • st. Honoré de Balzac str. Oleksandra Ekster Street (formerly Marina Tsvetaeva Street);
  • st. Vicente Beretti Ave. Chervona Kalyna Street (formerly Volodymyr Mayakovsky Avenue).

Such innovations will allow regulating the traffic of all its participants until the new DSTU standard “Traffic Signals” is put into effect.
