Norway to provide Ukraine with micro drones for urban warfare (video)

At the end of 2022, Norway, together with the United Kingdom, handed over Black Hornet microdrones to Ukraine. It has now become known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive a new batch of drones.

This was announced during the NATO summit in Vilnius by Norwegian Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram. This is a batch of 1000 Black Hornets. It is not yet known when the drones will be delivered. By the way, the cost of one set, which includes two drones, a control panel, and a charging station, is $40-60 thousand.

The Black Hornet is a military unmanned microlight aircraft. It was developed by the Norwegian company Prox Dynamics for the British Army. The drone has dimensions of 10×2.5 cm and weighs about 16 grams. It fits easily in your hand. The Black Hornet is designed for short-range combat operations, including in urban areas. The mini-drone’s operating time is 25 minutes. It can detect targets at a distance of up to 2 km. The maximum flight speed is 21.49 km/h.
