NovaPay, a financial company from the Nova Poshta Group, has started to build its own network of POS terminals. This was reported by her press service.
The first 500 terminals were installed in branches in Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, and Dnipro regions, and by the end of 2023 the company plans to install another 1,000 terminals in other regions.
In total, the company plans to install 10,000 of its own terminals by 2025.
According to the NBU, as of the end of the first half of 2023, the number of active POS terminals in the retail and service networks was about 388,000. The largest player in this market is the state-owned PrivatBank, which has approximately 193,000 active POS terminals.
In April 2023, it became known that NovaPay received an extended license from the National Bank of Ukraine, which will allow it to open accounts and issue payment cards.
