Over a billion views were recorded on Ukrainian Wikipedia last year, which is a new record
During 2022, the total number of views on Ukrainian Wikipedia increased significantly compared to the previous year. This is reported by the blog of the editors of the Ukrainian Wikipedia.
Thus, in 2022, Ukrainian Wikipedia recorded 1,060 million page views, which is 19% higher than in 2021 (891 million). Absolute annual growth is 169 million views. It is noted that for the first time, the annual milestone of 1 billion views was overcome for Ukrainian Wikipedia. In six years, the popularity of Ukrainian Wikipedia has increased by 100%, i.e. doubled.
The number of page views for December is 93.6 million (+5% compared to last December).
According to the results of December, the Ukrainian Wikipedia took 16th place in the world in terms of visitors, just like last year.
It is reported that the indicators could be even higher. However, the relatively small increase in attendance in November and December is caused by power outages due to Russian terrorist attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
