Patriot continues to work on enemy targets in frontline areas – Oleshchuk

The Commander of the Air Force of Ukraine Mykola Ukraina assured that Patriot units have not been removed from the frontline areas. Like all other anti-aircraft missile units, they continue to perform combat missions.

“I assure you that anti-aircraft missile units, including Patriot, continue to perform tasks in designated areas of the frontline territories. The enemy continues to attack Ukraine in different directions with anti-aircraft missiles and air defense missiles. The Air Force is using all available means and tools to counteract enemy tactical aviation, keep it at a distance, constrain the actions of enemy “dryers” as much as possible, and, if possible, destroy the enemy,” he said.

Similarly, Ukrainian pilots are working in the frontline areas every day, destroying the enemy.

As you know, earlier this month, Russian publics actively disseminated videos with alleged footage of two Patriot missile launchers being hit by missile weapons. The Ukrainian side did not provide official confirmation.

As a reminder, in February 2024, the Russian military air force lost 13 aircraft in the war. From the 17th to the 19th, four Su-34s, one Su-35 and one Su-35S were destroyed. “Sushkopad also continued on February 21 (one board), 27 (two boards), and 29 (three boards). On February 23, a Russian A-50 long-range radar detection and control aircraft was destroyed over the Sea of Azov.
