“Peeled” Lada will be produced without ABS, ESP, ERA-GLONASS and without airbag
There are new details about the simplification that will be issued to Lada cars due to the lack of electronic components, which will remove all modern electronic systems.
Lada Granta will be produced without ABS, ESP, IR-GLONASS, as well as without an airbag. In addition, Lada Granta will lose one or two oxygen sensors, rolling back the emission level to about Euro-2. The Engine Control Unit and its firmware will become easier.
It noted that, in addition to simplifying the design, the grant will be transferred entirely to domestic components.
Lada Niva Legend and Lada Niva Travel plan to do the same at the plant. At the same time, a similar fate may await Lada Vesta, but so far they are talking about it cautiously and uncertainly. Lada Largus and Lada XRAY have not yet fallen under total import substitution.
