Picsart launches AI service for creating GIF animations based on text descriptions

Picsart, a popular image editor, has launched a generator of animated GIFs created with the help of artificial intelligence.

The main difference between Picsart and early text-to-picture platforms such as DALL-E is the animation. DALL-E is known for creating static images, while Picsart creates animated GIFs. Now you don’t have to search for a funny animation or specific characters to send it to your friends. You can invent a scene, characters, action, describe it all, and Picsart will do all the work and create an animated image. For example, you can make two cats wrestle in your arms.

Picsart calls its tool its “most haphazard” platform. It is available at the following address. The user can type any text, even nonsensical, in the input box, for example, “a goldfish dances a rumba in a volcano vent,” and the service will create an animation that can be downloaded to their device.

If you don’t like the proposed option, you can re-create the image with the same description. The result can vary significantly. The new platform is integrated into the regular Picsart app and is available for iOS, Android, and web devices.

The images created by the Picsart platform are cartoonish, so don’t expect photorealism. On the other hand, it adds to the fun.
