Poland may transfer part of its air defense systems to Ukraine

After the incident in Przewodów, the Polish General suggested that NATO close the airspace in the border areas. According to General Roman Polko, the Allies should provide the Armed Forces with long-range weapons.

In an interview with a Radio ZET correspondent, the general said that Warsaw could transfer part of its air defense systems to Kyiv. According to Polko, official Warsaw cannot allow the death of Polish citizens. A high-ranking military officer announced the strengthening of air defense in the eastern part of the country.

The general stressed that NATO should make it clear to the Kremlin that the border areas with Ukraine will be controlled by the alliance. Polko called Russian missile attacks on infrastructure facilities unprecedented. In his opinion, they are a sufficient reason for providing the Ukrainian army with long-range weapons.

On November 15, Russia once again attacked Ukraine with missiles. During the attack, one of the ammunition fell in Pshevodov. This Polish city is located six kilometers from the border. The rocket explosion killed two Poles. Joe Biden claims that a projectile fired by Ukrainian air defense forces fell in Przewodov. Volodymyr Zelenskyi denied this information. The Ukrainian president suggested conducting a comprehensive investigation of the incident.
