Poland takes a decisive step, Andrzej Duda confirms readiness to accept nuclear weapons from allies

Polish leader Andrzej Duda officially confirmed that Poland is ready to deploy nuclear weapons on its territory.

According to the President of Poland, the topic of nuclear weapons deployment was often at the center of negotiations between official Warsaw and Washington. Andrzej Duda noted that he had already made it clear to the White House that he was ready for such a decision.

He also drew attention to the fact that the aggressor country, Russia, is increasingly militarizing the Königsberg area.

It recently moved its nuclear weapons to Belarus. If our allies decide to deploy nuclear weapons within the framework of a nuclear exchange and on our territory to strengthen the security of NATO’s eastern flank, we are ready for that. We are an ally of the North Atlantic Alliance and we have obligations in this regard, so we simply pursue a common policy.

General access to weapons in Poland

The Polish leader does not hide the fact that this issue is still controversial in his country.

According to him, Poland has never had such a complete general access to weapons.

We can discuss the relaxation of certain requirements in this regard, but I would be cautious about full universal access to weapons,” emphasized Andrzej Duda.

He also reiterated that only Ukraine can decide on the terms of ending the war with Russia.

Russia cannot win the war, that’s the first thing, and that’s what I will firmly defend wherever I am. We need to do everything to ensure that Ukraine can defend itself. Russia, I repeat, cannot win this war, and Ukraine must be guaranteed security, preferably by joining the North Atlantic Alliance.
