Poland will hand over ‘leopards’ to Ukraine despite Germany’s position – Polish Prime Minister

Poland is going to hand over Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, even if Germany resists.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said this in an interview with Polsat.

The politician emphasized that it is important for Poland, together with other partners, to equip modern tank brigades for Ukraine. The head of government emphasized that Poland offered Ukraine 14 tanks.

“At the same time, we must ensure that others also meet these needs. Among these others, the Germans were the least active so far. We will continue to… push the chancellor’s office and Germany to respond to our proposal as soon as possible,’ the prime minister added.

Moravetsky emphasized that the ability to defend freedom in Ukraine, and therefore the security of the whole of Europe, may depend on the transfer of modern tanks to Ukraine.

“Either we will get this consent, or we will do everything right ourselves. The most important thing here is for the Germans, Danes, Finns, French and other nations to offer their modern tanks and heavy equipment as soon as possible,’ the Prime Minister commented.
