The Polish side continues to block the movement of Ukrainian trucks in three directions, but there is a positive trend of increasing the throughput at the recently unblocked Yagodyn crossing point.
This was reported by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Colonel Andriy Demchenko.
The most difficult situation remains on the border with Poland. Three directions: Rava-Ruska, Krakivets and Shehyni continue to be blocked by representatives of Polish carriers and farmers.
As of the morning of December 15, according to Polish border guards, there were approximately 2,600 trucks in queues on these three routes heading to Ukraine. Most of them are opposite the Shehyni checkpoint.
But I can say that there is a fairly good, positive trend at Yagodyn. As you know, it was unblocked on December 11. Gradually, the cargo flow increased day by day. And yesterday more than 1200 trucks crossed this direction in both directions. More – in the direction of Ukraine.
In fact, these are almost the same figures as before the blockade on November 6. Of course, there is still a large number of vehicles in the queue (1700 in Poland towards Ukraine), but if such traffic continues to be provided, it will allow for faster border crossing in both directions.
The Yahodyn-Dorohusk border crossing point has been unblocked.
This was announced on December 11 by Oleksandr Kubrakov, First Vice Prime Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.
The blockade of the Yahodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint is over. Since 14:00, stable truck traffic has been restored there,” he wrote.
According to him, 15 vehicles have crossed into Ukraine – they are at the checkpoint. 25 trucks are also being cleared – they will be heading towards Poland.
The minister also reminded that the blockade of the largest cargo crossing point lasted for more than a month.
