Polish reconnaissance armored vehicle Bóbr-3 with ballistic and mine protection level 3a presented
The AMZ Bóbr-3 is a Polish armored reconnaissance vehicle manufactured by AMZ-Kutno, developed under the New Light Armored Reconnaissance Transporter (LOTR) program under the codename Kleszcz (Tick).
Bóbr-3 is a floating reconnaissance armored two-axle wheeled vehicle with independent suspension and 4×4 drive system. The basic version of the machine provides ballistic protection level 2 according to STANAG 4569, and mine resistance level 2a.
Optional additional armor increases ballistic protection level 3 and mine protection level 3a. The armored vehicle is equipped with a 240 kW diesel engine with an automatic transmission.
Replacing the power supply takes about an hour. The Bóbr-3 is additionally equipped with a remote-controlled weapon module, a laser warning system and a smoke grenade launcher.
As standard, the armored vehicle is equipped with an automatic fire extinguishing system, a central inflation system for all wheels with Run-Flat inserts that allow driving with punctured tires, an electric generator, and a built-in heating and air conditioning system.
The AMZ Bóbr-3 can overcome water obstacles both in the water and by swimming, and is equipped with a breakwater that prevents the windshield from flooding when overcoming water obstacles.
