POS terminals are no longer needed: PrivatBank launches Tap to Pay contactless payment acceptance technology
PrivatBank introduces Tap to Pay contactless payment technology on Apple’s iPhone for entrepreneurs and businesses in Ukraine.
Customers will be able to accept contactless payments in person using only an iPhone and the iOS Terminal app, without the need for a POS terminal or any additional equipment. The new feature allows merchants to accept contactless payments from debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, and other digital wallets.
PrivatBank customers can use Tap to Pay on iPhone in the Terminal iOS application by downloading it from the Apple App Store on iPhone XS or later. Tap to Pay on iPhone uses built-in iPhone features to keep both business and customer data private and secure.
“The Terminal for iPhone application is a comprehensive turnkey solution for businesses that allows not only accepting contactless payments from Visa and Mastercard, but now also registering cash transactions, creating and fiscalizing checks, and transmitting information to tax authorities,” said Yevgeniy Zaigraev, PrivatBank’s SME Board Member.
How to accept payments via iPhone:
– Open the Terminal app on your smartphone;
– Enter the purchase amount;
– Present the iPhone to the customer;
– The buyer must place the card or their gadget on the top of your iPhone, above the contactless payment symbol;
A check mark means that the payment was successful. You can send a receipt to the buyer via e-mail or messenger.
