According to volunteer Dmytro Stolyarchuk, their leader is serving in the SSO. He suggested what to pay attention to when designing helmets. In addition to the production of the FAST analogue, craftsmen from Khmelnytskyi are engaged in the modernization of Ukrainian TOR-D helmets. They install a suspension system, covers and cushions of their own production on them.
Volunteers claim that in 90% of cases, the helmet provides the fighter with protection from debris. However, several times the helmets withstood shots from a machine gun and a machine gun. It all depends on the distance of the shot and luck.
Helmets are made by Khmelnytskyi craftsmen in a garage. Since April of this year, they have produced about 800 helmets in an artisanal way.
