Russia has a new weapon – “Dragon”: a prototype of the TOS-3 flamethrower system
Russia has developed a new powerful flamethrower system “Dragon”
According to the German newspaper Welt, Russia has developed a new flamethrower system called the Dragon. This is a prototype of the successor to the well-known TOS-1 and TOS-2 systems, called TOS-3. The new system has an extended range of up to 15 kilometers, which makes it less vulnerable to FPV attacks used by Ukraine.
“The Dragon is equipped with missiles with thermobaric warheads that can cause significant damage. One of the important features of the system is its ability to deliver massive fire, which can turn defense facilities and urban areas into ruins with just one salvo. Welt emphasizes that even strong structures such as bunkers are difficult to fight with these weapons.
This development is worrisome, as its use could lead to significant losses and destruction in conflict zones, especially in urban combat.
