A very powerful DDoS attack from abroad targets the passenger check-in system.
On Thursday, September 28, the Russian Federation reported that the country’s major airports faced a powerful DDoS attack. Work disruptions were reported by employees at Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo.
This is reported by the Mash telegram channel.
Due to a hacker attack targeting the passenger check-in system, huge queues have formed at airports, check-in desks are not working, and some flights have been delayed. The Russian Leonardo system has come under attack, as local airlines have recently switched to it to move away from foreign services.
It is currently unknown who is behind this attack. Usually, Russia traditionally blames Ukraine for everything, but so far there is no evidence that it was its IT Army that did it.
Airport employees promise to resume work in the near future.
