They offer to pay for Ukraine for the opportunity to get out of sanctions, Handelsblatt writes, citing the words of the Minister of Finance of Canada during a meeting with colleagues from the G7.
According to her, the dissatisfaction of the oligarchs with the Russian Federation is connected not only with the inconveniences against the background of restrictions on travel and the freezing of assets. They are also critical of Russia’s war against Ukraine, but cannot distance themselves from the invasion due to the threat of repression by the Kremlin.
