Russian plane worth ₴150 million nationalized in Ukraine
The High Anti-Corruption Court, based on the materials of the Security Service of Ukraine, ruled to transfer the AN-140-100 cargo and passenger aircraft owned by the sanctioned Russian corporation Rostec to the state.
This was reported by the SBU.
Thus, the court granted another claim of the Ministry of Justice to transfer Rostec’s property to the Ukrainian state.
According to the SBU, the cost of the aircraft is almost UAH 150 million.
Prior to the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the aircraft was transferred to the Ukrainian state-owned enterprise Antonov for technical adjustments, testing and subsequent return to the aggressor country.
The investigation established that the Russian aircraft was on the balance sheet of the Moscow-based Ilyushin Aviation Complex, a part of Rostec and a leading manufacturer of military aircraft in Russia. It is this company that supplies combat aircraft to Russian troops fighting against Ukraine.
Law enforcement officers are investigating the actions of the company’s management under Art. 110-2 (financing of actions taken to change the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In March, the court seized the assets of the company, the beneficial owner of which is a Russian oligarch, a shareholder and member of the board of directors of a Russian company that is part of the Rostec corporation. The value of the seized property was UAH 20 million.
