Russian Su-57 fighter jet receives long-range cruise missile – RosUnion
The Russian media reported that Russia had allegedly developed a new long-range in-fuselage cruise missile for the Su-57.
This was reported by the Russian propaganda outlet RIA Novosti.
According to the propagandists’ interlocutors, the allegedly developed missile has a comparable range to those used in long-range aviation on Tu-95MS and Tu-160 strategic bombers, despite its smaller size.
The reduction in size, they say, was achieved thanks to “a refined design of the folding wing and internal layout, as well as the use of a new small-sized twin-circuit turbojet engine.”
It is stated that long-range air-launched missiles are those capable of hitting a target at a distance of more than 600 kilometers. At the same time, in long-range aviation, the range increases from 1000 to 6500 kilometers.
The Su-57 is a fifth-generation supersonic combat jet aircraft that uses stealth technologies and advanced avionics. It is capable of carrying weapons in the internal fuselage compartments and can maneuver with heavy overloads.
