Samsung showed off its updated Ballie home robot, which was equipped with a projector

Specialists of the South Korean company Samsung presented an updated version of the Ballie home robot, which has been replenished with a large number of new features based on artificial intelligence algorithms. The robotic pet was presented at the CES 2024 event.

In the video demonstrated by the developers, they showed one of the newest features – the robot can now act as a projector. It can project images on any surface: wall, floor, and even ceiling. For example, Ballie, following its owner, will be able to quickly display a picture if someone tries to contact the user via a video call. The company said that the robot automatically adjusts the focus of the image depending on how far away the projection area is.

“This is the world’s first projector that automatically detects the position of the user’s face in space to set the optimal projection angle,” the developers added.

In addition, the Ballie robot performs a large number of other tasks. It can turn on and off the lights, operate household appliances, and even feed animals, if any. When you need to create a romantic atmosphere, the robot will make a starry sky out of the ceiling.

Unfortunately, Samsung showed only a video. The company representatives did not share any additional information. We can only hope that they will rectify this situation in the near future.
