Samsung smartphones that will receive Android 13 by the end of 2022 have been named

Samsung is working on the preparation of OneUI 5.0 firmware for several Galaxy smartphones. Program participants willing to risk the health of their phones for the chance to be the first to join the shell based on Android 13 have started to get access to the beta firmware.

According to testers, the South Korean brand is ready to release the stable version of OneUI 5.0/Android 13 this year for Galaxy S21/S22/Z Fold 3/Z Fold 4/Z Flip 3/Z Flip 4 devices this year.

The flagships listed above are expected to be updated in priority order. In addition, the possibility of updating is allowed for phones that do not belong to the flagship category. The most likely contender is the mid-priced Galaxy A53.

The Galaxy A5x series is one of Samsung’s most successful mid-range offerings. The family was born in March of this year with the promise of updating the ‘green robot’ within 4 years. The Galaxy A53 shipped with OneUI 4.1/Android 12, so the upcoming OneUI 5.0 will be its first major update.

Other mid-range Galaxy smartphones will receive Android 13/OneUI 5.0 no earlier than early 2023.
