Satellite detects new launch site for Kalibr missiles

On June 16, the aggressor struck the capital of Ukraine with six Kalibr and six Kinzhal. The Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the launch of cruise missiles from the coastal zone of Novorossiysk, but this information was not confirmed.

According to experts, nothing prevents the Russian Navy from launching missiles from the new location to protect its ships from Ukrainian surface drones. Satellite imagery proves the validity of this statement.

The Twitter account of OSINT analyst MT_Anderson posted a photo of the base in Novorossiysk. It was taken from a satellite on June 9. It shows three Buyan-M missile corvettes, two frigates and one submarine. Almost all Russian Kalibr carriers are in the Black Sea. Only two submarines, a corvette and a frigate, are “stuck” near Syria.

Satellite detects new launch site for Kalibr missilesThe image of the Sevastopol base taken from a satellite on June 15 shows only the Varshavyanka submarines. There are no missile corvettes or frigates on it. This indicates that the occupiers have moved most of the missile launchers to Novorossiysk. This fact will have to be taken into account when clearing the Crimean peninsula of enemy troops.
