Serbian company presents the lightest MLRS “Milos” on the planet

Engineers of the Serbian company Yugoimport have designed the lightest MLRS Milos on the planet. According to Army Recognition, it uses S-8 KOM missiles to fire.

The launcher with 28 guides was mounted on the Milos armored vehicle, which made its debut in Abu Dhabi at the IDEX-2017 specialized exhibition. The manufacturer positioned the vehicle as an adaptive platform suitable for use in various operations.

This week, Yugoimport showed an armored vehicle with an 80-mm caliber launcher. The S-80 KOM was originally designed for combat helicopters. They are capable of hitting not only manpower but also armored vehicles. The range of an unguided missile can reach 6.8 km.

The Milos armored vehicle weighs 14 tons. The weight of the launcher is 700 kg. It is capable of operating in automatic and volley fire modes. The lightest MLRS on the planet is equipped with an advanced fire control system, a thermal imaging camera, an electro-optical sight and a laser rangefinder.
