She didn’t get to go on vacation for a bad joke: what happened to a woman at the airport in Poland

In Poland, a woman was denied entry to an airplane and fined because of a joke at the airport. When security officials asked her about her luggage, the Polish woman decided to claim that she was allegedly carrying weapons.

A 49-year-old woman from the Pomeranian Voivodeship, who made a bad joke at Lech Walesa Airport in Gdansk that she had a gun in her luggage, was fined. In addition, the crew of the plane on which she planned to fly to Cyprus did not allow her to board. It is known that no dangerous items were found in the woman’s suitcase.

“A 49-year-old resident of the Pomeranian Voivodeship made a joke during baggage and ticket check-in. She told the employee that there was nothing else in her suitcase except a gun.” – said the spokesman for the Commander of the Maritime Division of the Border Guard Service in Gdansk, Lieutenant Commander Andrzej Juzwiak, on August 29.

Later, the woman apologized for the bad joke, but the guards still searched her luggage. As a result, only clothes and cosmetics were found.

“The staff fined the 49-year-old woman. However, more painful for the woman was the decision of the captain not to take her on the flight to Larnaca,” added Andrzej Juzwiak.
