On December 4, Slovak carriers unblocked traffic for trucks through the Vysne Nemecke checkpoint on the border with Ukraine.

Reportedly, on December 4 at 22:00, the actions of the protesters blocking truck traffic through the Vysne Nemecke checkpoint ended.

Currently, vehicle registration is carried out in accordance with the established procedure.

Also, according to the State Border Guard Service, due to the complicated traffic on the Polish border, the number of trucks using this route to cross the border with Ukraine has increased on the border with Slovakia.

As of the morning of December 5, there were 625 trucks in line in Slovakia heading to Ukraine.

Blockade of the border with Slovakia

Earlier, the European Commission said it opposed the resumption of the permit system for Ukrainian truckers, as demanded by Polish and Slovak border blockers.

On December 1 in the afternoon, Slovak carriers began the announced blockade of truck traffic at a checkpoint near Uzhhorod.

Earlier, the Association of Slovak Carriers announced an indefinite blockade of the checkpoint, starting on December 1, with the same demands as the Polish border blockers.

At the same time, the blockade of Polish carriers has been going on since November 6, and its key demand is to return the permit system for Ukrainian carriers.
