SpaceX Dragon cargo ship returns to Earth from the International Space Station

The SpaceX Dragon cargo spacecraft returned from the International Space Station to Earth off the coast of Jacksonville (Florida)

This was reported on the NASA website.

It is noted that the ship landed off the coast of Jacksonville (Florida) on June 30 in the evening. This was SpaceX’s 28th commercial mission to deliver cargo to the ISS for NASA.

It is noted that the spacecraft delivered approximately 1632 kg of valuable scientific samples, equipment and other cargo to Earth.

It is noted that the scientific equipment and samples returning from the mission include the GRIP chair – Gravity Manipulation in Microgravity – used in the GRIP and GRASP neurological experiments sponsored by the European Space Agency (ESA).

GRIP studies how microgravity affects manipulation of objects, and GRASP provides further insight into how the central nervous system adapts to microgravity environments.

The experiments were carried out on the space station for almost six years, and the final in-orbit tests were completed in early 2023.

On June 6, a SpaceX Dragon cargo capsule docked with the International Space Station to transfer new supplies, including solar panels.
