SpaceX has sent the Starship to the launch pad and is preparing for a historic launch on April 10

It looks like the first orbital flight of the Starship spacecraft is just around the corner. SpaceX has already sent it to the launch pad in Texas.

Elon Musk has postponed the date of the spacecraft’s orbital flight several times. Recently, the SpaceX CEO said that the first flight would be a failure with a 50% probability. But this will not be a big deal.

The Starship launch date has not yet been officially announced. However, Ars Technica sources say that the huge ship with a Super Heavy rocket booster, which has a total of 39 Raptor engines, will launch for the first time on April 10, 2023.

Starship will undergo several tests before it lands on the Moon in late 2025 as part of the third mission of the Artemis program. A few days after that, the ship will deliver the astronauts to orbit, where they will transfer to the Orion spacecraft and head home.

Due to insufficient fuel supply, the Starship will remain in the lunar orbit forever. The astronauts will leave on board the spacecraft new spacesuits developed by Axiom Space.
