SpaceX is preparing Starship for launch on November 17, if it receives regulatory approval

SpaceX could launch a Starship test flight as early as next week if it receives regulatory approval, according to a recent post on social media. The world’s largest rocket, the Starship, is currently being developed in Boca Chica, Texas, and, as with its first test flight in April, SpaceX is ready to launch if it receives regulatory approval. According to the company’s post on the social network X (formerly Twitter), it may launch Starship as early as November 17, wccftech reports.

According to SpaceX, all shortcomings and problems were resolved after the first test launch. At the end of last month, SpaceX successfully conducted a test during which it fully loaded the rocket with the amount of fuel and oxidizer required for launch to create conditions similar to launch. The drenching system (fire extinguishing system) was also tested at the launch pad. In addition, SpaceX has fulfilled the conditions of the US Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) required for certification of the fire extinguishing and noise suppression system.

It is worth noting that this is the first time SpaceX has named a specific date for a possible launch. The day before, SpaceX Production Manager Jessie Anderson said that regulatory approval was “just around the corner.”

While waiting for the FWS and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to approve the second Starship flight, SpaceX is already making plans for the future. According to SpaceX’s documents filed with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), if the Starship’s testing process goes optimally and regulatory approvals are obtained, the third orbital test flight of the Starship could take place in December this year.
