SpaceX launches two batches of Starlink satellites from different launch sites in the US – video

On January 29, SpaceX launched two batches of Starlink Internet satellites into orbit from different launch sites in the United States, Space reports.

The first Falcon 9 rocket carrying 23 Starlink satellites was launched from NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 01:15 Kyiv time.
The second Falcon 9 rocket launched another 22 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California at 07:57 Kyiv time.

The first stages of the two rockets returned to Earth about 8.5 minutes after launch, landing on SpaceX’s automatic platforms in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

According to SpaceX, this was the 18th launch and landing for a rocket launched from Florida and the 9th for a rocket launched from California.

Meanwhile, the upper stages of the Falcon 9 continued to launch the satellites into low Earth orbit, deploying them a little more than an hour after launch.

These were SpaceX’s 8th and 9th launches since the beginning of 2024. The company said it plans to launch 144 orbital missions in 2024.
