SpaceX will launch 22 Starlink satellites into orbit from California

SpaceX plans to launch a new batch of its Starlink Internet satellites into orbit on February 9, if weather conditions are favorable, says Space.

A Falcon 9 rocket carrying 22 Starlink satellites is scheduled to launch no earlier than 02:56 Kyiv time from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.

SpaceX will broadcast the launch live on its account on the social network X.

Initially, the company planned to launch the satellites on February 7, but due to bad weather conditions, it was forced to postpone it a few seconds before the start.

If everything goes according to plan, the first stage of the Falcon 9 will return to Earth about 8.5 minutes after launch and will land on the Of Course I Still Love You platform in the Pacific Ocean as usual.

This will be the 14th launch and landing for this launch vehicle, 7 of the 13 previous flights of the rocket were also Starlink missions.

Starlink is SpaceX’s broadband constellation in low Earth orbit, which currently consists of nearly 5,400 active satellites.
