Stoltenberg: NATO plans to give Ukraine one million drones

A group of North Atlantic Treaty Organization countries wants to provide one million drones to Ukraine’s defenders as part of military aid.

He reminded that a regular meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council was held today, February 15. In particular, Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov briefed the allies on the situation at the front, and NATO countries emphasized the importance of further support.

Stoltenberg also noted that over the past few days, allies, including Canada, Finland and Norway, have announced new military aid packages for Ukraine, including equipment and spare parts for F-16s and air defense equipment.

Drone Coalition

Earlier, NATO created a coalition of drones to help Ukrainian defenders, which was joined by more than 20 countries.

Today, on February 15, British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps said that his country, together with Latvia, would lead such a coalition.

Shapps also announced the transfer of thousands of drones to our country as part of a British package worth 200 million pounds.
