Stories are now available on Telegram

After the announcement in June, Telegram also got its own version of Stories.

You can use two cameras at once when recording a photo or video for temporary posts, and you can also choose a Stories “shelf life” of 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours. There is support for subtitles and detailed control over privacy settings: show stories to certain contacts, hide them from some, or choose which temporary posts you don’t want to see.

Only Telegram Premium users will be able to try out the new feature – in order for Stories to appear, you need to manually update the app.

The feature reportedly came with a limit of 100 stories per day. It is possible to send reactions that will be sent to the authors in personal messages.

Also announced are a dozen tools for editing photos and videos, signatures, links, and marks for people – probably, paid users will get some additional bonuses. Similar to a similar feature on Instagram, the company announced the ability to save Stories to Telegram and repost messages from channels to history.
