Strike drones in the Armed Forces of Ukraine: developers tell about Ukrainian KH-S7 and universal version of KH-S10

The manufacturer already has a version of the strike drone with a 1 kg payload and is working on registering a variant with a three times higher payload

Ukraine’s defense forces use a number of different unmanned aerial vehicles on the battlefield, including kamikaze drones, which have been approved for use by the Ukrainian defense ministry, and ArmyInform has been reporting on these Ukrainian developments in a series of articles.

One such drone used by our military against the occupiers is the KH-S7 FPV strike drone, which was described to ArmyInform by the developers of this weapon.

The project began more than a year ago, in the summer of 2022, when a group of enthusiasts, engineers and military personnel, decided to create an attack drone that could be put into mass production. Since then, the team has gone from defining the tactical and technical characteristics of the future development to implementing the launch of such an attack drone into production.

According to Vadym, one of the manufacturer’s representatives, the developer chose only the best components for his drone, signing direct contracts with the best manufacturers in the world.

The tactical and technical characteristics of this strike drone are as follows: in the KH-S7 version with a 1 kg payload, it can destroy targets at a distance of 7 km, although there was a case when this FPV drone overcame 9.5 km.

At the same time, the manufacturer is currently working on registering this strike drone in the KH-S10 version, which will be able to carry three times the payload – up to 3 kg – and will combine the role of both a strike and a bomber drone.

Separately, the company emphasizes that the first version of their FPV strike drone was approved for operation under a special accelerated procedure organized by the Ministry of Defense Accelerator. A representative of the development team notes that everything went quite quickly, but the fact that the team included engineers who had experience with paperwork and were ready to work with documents also played a role.

The manufacturer notes that the military has given positive feedback on their design, which is both quite easy to operate and reliable and convenient. “We have a really top-of-the-line model – from the ergonomics of the remote control, the power of the motors to the quality of the system itself and a lot of little things that add up to a greater range, maneuverability, battery life, payload and accuracy. From time to time, the military shares videos with us that they can show, and when you hear their cheers after our drone has worked, it’s a very pleasant feedback,” the manufacturer’s representative notes.
