Sweden to supply Ukraine with ammunition for CV90 infantry fighting vehicles and Stridsvagn 122 (aka Leopard 2A5) tanks
The Swedish government has announced a new military aid package for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
What is known
The information appeared on the country’s government website. The new package will be worth $314 million and will include ammunition and spare parts for CV90 infantry fighting vehicles and Stridsvagn 122 (aka Leopard 2A5) tanks. Both types of weapons are already being used by Ukrainian defenders.
In addition, Sweden is also going to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with demining equipment and trucks. Deliveries of weapons should begin in the near future. By the way, Sweden has already handed over $1.57 billion in military aid to Ukraine.
