Telegram opens up new monetization opportunities for channel owners
A major Telegram update has been released. The most important innovation is the use of monetization. Now, owners of public channels with an audience of 1000 subscribers or more can receive 50% of the revenue from ads shown on their channel – they will pay out in Toncoin. Rewards under the monetization program can be withdrawn without a commission.
This is good news, but the bad news is that monetization is not available for channels from Ukraine. In addition to our country, this feature will not be available to platform users from Israel, Palestine, and Russia.
Other innovations:
- Users can now specify their date of birth in their profiles;
- Business account holders can specify the office address and working hours;
- For a business account, you can set up automatic notifications for out-of-hours or vacation;
- Chatbot can now be linked to a business account.
