Telly starts giving away free 55-inch 4K TVs
Back in May, the American company Telly announced that it would give away 4K TVs for free. At the time, many people did not believe such generosity, but now Telly has announced the start of deliveries of TV sets.
We are talking about 55-inch TVs with 4K resolution. Why are they free? It’s simple: these devices display ads that cannot be turned off. Unlike traditional models, Telly TVs consist of two parts. You watch movies, TV shows, and TV series on the big screen, while a small additional screen displays advertisements.
Users must also sacrifice some of their privacy and consent to data collection. In the future, they will be used by advertisers and TV content creators.
The Telly system does not allow you to install any streaming applications, but it comes with Google TV. You can also use your TV with a Roku device, Amazon Fire Stick, or Apple TV.
The list of those wishing to receive a free TV is growing. Meanwhile, the company promises to deliver 500 free devices by the end of this year and “millions” in 2024.
