Tesla’s mysterious self-driving taxi shown in first images

Tesla’s self-driving taxi is a two-seater electric vehicle with a chopped design and doors that lift up. The interior lacks a steering wheel and pedals.

Elon Musk’s new biography not only reveals the billionaire’s position on the use of Starlink in Ukraine, but also declassifies one of his new projects. We are talking about the so-called Tesla Robotaxi, the image of which appeared on the pages of the book. Alex Turville drew attention to this on social network X (formerly known as Twitter).

The sketch depicts a two-seater car with a chopped design in the spirit of the Tesla Cybertruck and doors that lift up. The rear wheels are almost completely enclosed – this solution improves aerodynamics. Earlier, Tesla designer Franz von Holzhausen demonstrated the Robotaxi model.

The book states that Elon Musk came up with the idea of a self-driving taxi back in 2016, but it was not implemented due to work on other Tesla models.

It is known that the self-driving taxi will be built on a new platform, which will also be used by Tesla’s new budget electric car costing from $25,000. It is expected that the taxi will drive exclusively on autopilot and will not have a steering wheel and pedals.
