Tesla will be able to better adapt to Ukrainian roads thanks to the new function

Tesla cars will not only scan for potholes in the road, but will also store in the cloud data about bumps recorded by other Teslas.

Tesla cars have learned to scan potholes on the road. The corresponding function is added to the car when a new firmware update is downloaded, writes Electrek.

When detecting irregularities, the adaptive suspension automatically changes its settings. Thanks to this, it will be possible not only to save the suspension itself, but also to make the journey more comfortable for the driver and passengers.

“Tesla’s adaptive suspension adjusts the ride height for the bumpy road ahead. This adjustment can happen in different places, as the car downloads approximate road map data created by Tesla cars,” the description of the new firmware says.

However, this option is not available for all models of the Californian manufacturer because the adaptive suspension is only available in the flagship Model S and Model X.
