The Air Force of Ukraine destroyed 17 Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drones in a week

On September 20, 2022, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced for the first time the destruction of the Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drone. In a week, it was possible to eliminate almost one and a half dozen drones.

As we wrote, the first Shahed-136 was shot down on September 20. The next day, the command of the Air Force did not report the destruction of the Iranian drones, but on September 22, four more kamikaze drones were eliminated in the sky over Ukraine.

On September 23, anti-aircraft missile units set a record by shooting down six Iranian-made ‘mopeds’ at once. On September 25 and 26, two and four Shahed-136s were destroyed, respectively. On the official Facebook page of the Air Force Command, there is no summary for September 24. Thus, within a week after the destruction of the first ‘martyr’, Ukrainian anti-aircraft fighters have already landed 17 suicide drones.
