The Armed Forces have achieved significant success in the Lyman area and in the Kherson region over the past two days – ISW

The occupier groups located there mostly consisted of units that were considered to be among the best in the Russian Federation before the war

Last day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine significantly advanced on the Oskil-Kreminna river border towards the border with the Luhansk region, as well as in the north of the Kherson region.

This is stated in a report by analysts of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). It is noted that the occupying groups in the northern part of the Kherson region and on the Limansky front mostly consisted of units that were considered among the best in the Russian Federation before the war.

“In the Kherson region there are units of the Airborne Forces, especially the 76th Guards Airborne Assault Division. Both the 144th Motorized Rifle Division and the 76th Guards Airborne Assault Division have previously been touted as among Russia’s most elite forces, and their apparent inability to hold territory against major Ukrainian counteroffensives is consistent with ISW’s earlier assessment that as the war progresses, even the most elite Russian the armed forces are increasingly degrading. This phenomenon was also noticeable in the defeat of the 4th Tank Division of the 1st Guards Tank Army at the beginning of the Kharkiv counteroffensive,” the report says.

Previously, the Armed Forces completely cleared the Liman from the Russians.
