The Armed Forces of Ukraine for the first time showed a video of the combat use of the only trophy flamethrower system TOS-1A “Solntsepyok”
The Ukrainian Defense Forces have already begun using the trophy heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A Solntsepyok. It was seized last year in the Kyiv region.
What is known
The Ukrainian Armed Forces were able to capture the flamethrower system along with a stockpile of 220mm rockets. The TOS-1A Solntsepyok is rarely used due to limited ammunition, but it demonstrates high efficiency.

The heavy flamethrower system is based on the T-72 tank. It uses thermobaric unguided rockets weighing more than 200 kg and approximately 3.7 meters long.
The munition consists of a warhead with an incendiary or thermobaric mixture, a detonator, and a solid rocket motor. The launch range is up to 6000 meters.
