On the morning of October 17, almost three dozen Shahed-136 kamikaze drones were launched towards Kyiv. The Armed Forces were able to shoot down the vast majority of flying ‘mopeds’.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said that 28 Iranian-made kamikaze drones flew towards Kyiv this morning. Defense forces destroyed 23 Shahed-136s.

Klitschko said that there were five explosions in the capital of Ukraine. One kamikaze drone hit a residential building in the Shevchenkiv district of the city. Rescuers continue to work at the scene of the impact.
