The Bloomberg agency has published a ranking of the best electric cars
Financial analysts from Bloomberg created a rating of ‘green’ cars, which took into account all the main parameters of the efficiency of electric cars.
The Bloomberg Green EV Ratings Panel is a ranking of EVs currently available in the US. And since most of the electric cars currently driving in Ukraine were imported from the USA, this rating is interesting to us as well.
It was created by the Bloomberg agency according to a special methodology, which provides for the assignment of a special ‘green’ rating to each electric car.
The environmental rating for each car is calculated using a special formula: (range ÷ curb weight) + battery size on a scale from 0 to 100 (100 being the highest/best rating).
In the Bloomberg Green rating, the Tesla Model 3 in the Long-Range configuration became the most ‘green’ car – it scored 74.2 points. Other modifications of the ‘three’ are not so environmentally friendly: Performance scored 66.6 points, and the rear-wheel drive version – 64.4 points.
In second place is Lucid Air, little known to Ukrainians. On the third and fifth are again ‘Teslas’: Model S and Model Y, respectively.
On the website of this rating, there is also more information about the models that were in the rating, as well as their comparison according to various indicators.
