The developers told what is remarkable about the Ukrainian drone Punisher
A group of Ukrainian volunteers developed a unique drone under the leadership of Dmytro Zabashtanskyi and Maksym Subotin. They called their brainchild Punisher, which literally means ‘Punisher’.
The developers claim that the Punisher is the world’s cheapest attack drone. He doesn’t need a strip to take off. The UAV is capable of carrying up to 2.5 kg of payload. In the future, its carrying capacity will be increased.
The Punisher drone comes complete with a Roda ground control station. This German company is one of NATO’s contractors. The development of the drone was started in 2016. Before the beginning of the Russian invasion, the ‘Punisher’ had already managed to complete about 120 missions.
One Punisher complex costs 50,000 USD. The drone itself costs about 10,000 USD. The delivery includes additional batteries with a hot-swappable function, charging stations and a catapult for launching the drone.
