The fourth massive attack since the beginning of the year: the Russian military launched 64 weapons from different directions
On February 7, Russia launched a combined strike using Iskander, Tu-22M3, Tu-95MS, and fired Kalibr cruise missiles and traditional Shahed missiles.
On the night of February 7, Russia carried out its fourth massive combined attack on Ukrainian cities in 2024, using aircraft and missiles from air and ground-based missiles.
According to the official report, the enemy launched a total of 64 air attack weapons, including 29 X-101 cruise missiles from 10 Tu-95MS aircraft, four high-speed X-22s from Tu-22M3s, 3 sea-based Kalibr cruise missiles, 5 S-300 anti-aircraft missiles, three Iskander-M ballistic missiles, and 20 Shahed-136 drones.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 26 out of 29 air-launched cruise missiles, all three Kalibrs and 15 out of 20 Shahed-136 drones.
The attack itself was stretched over time, and the first wave of the attack traditionally consisted of Shahed-136 drones, which were launched in several waves late in the evening of February 6 and headed from the south towards Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad and Dnipro regions, actively maneuvering, but the threat was eliminated by 02:30.
Around the same time, the Air Force reported the takeoff of several Tu-95MS from the Olenya airfield (Murmansk region, Russia), which subsequently launched cruise missiles of the X-555 and X-101 types. Around 06:00, the first group of cruise missiles began to enter Ukrainian airspace in Sumy region, a new group of Shahed from the south was reported, and the enemy began to fire at Kharkiv from S-300 air defense systems.
As of 06:20, several groups of cruise missiles were in the airspace. 20 minutes later, it was reported that X-22 missiles were launched from Tu-22M3. Around 07:00 – about repeated launches of cruise missiles. And about 40 minutes later, it was about the launch of a high-speed missile at the capital, which was fending off cruise missile attacks from different directions.
According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, more than two dozen cruise missiles were fired at the capital alone, coming in waves from different directions. There were hits to a residential multi-storey building and a service station in the southern Holosiivskyi district, as well as damage to the power grid in the eastern Dniprovskyi district.

As of the time of publication, 11 people are known to have been injured, but there may still be people in the destroyed apartments. In the Kyiv region, 10 private houses were damaged, with no casualties.
In Mykolaiv, one of the Russian missiles hit the private sector, damaging 20 houses. One person was reported dead.
In Kharkiv, local authorities report hitting non-residential buildings; according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, two people were injured.
The Lviv regional military administration reported that an industrial facility in Drohobych was hit, and another rocket was shot down in Stryi district.
The attack was the fourth massive hostile strike against Ukraine since the beginning of the year, following attacks on January 8, January 13, and January 23.
