The Italians have created an electric crossover with a screen for half the interior

A new brand of premium-class AEHRA cars was presented in Milan. One of its features is a full-width screen that extends during parking.

AEHRA, the new global premium electric vehicle brand, has released images and interior details of its first vehicle, an all-new SUV.

One of the most innovative interior features of the AEHRA SUV is the unique HMI (Human Machine Interface) screen across the instrument panel, which provides a real revolution in in-car entertainment and operation.

When the SUV is in drive mode, the screen is in the down position to display all the information the driver needs: speed, range, climate control settings and navigation instructions.

The two outer areas of the screen serve as virtual exterior mirrors, broadcasting high-definition images from the two front exterior side cameras. When the car is parked, passengers can pull the screen up, instantly transforming the AEHRA into a home theater or office environment.

This is a direct result of AEHRA’s radical approach to the exterior form of its first model. In traditional vehicle layouts, the interior dimensions do not allow front-row passengers to operate such a flexible and wide HMI screen, as it would be too close to their eyes. AEHRA has filed a patent for this solution and believes it will set new standards for in-vehicle performance and entertainment.

Thanks to this screen, passengers can relax and enjoy a movie, for example, while the car is charging or while parents are waiting to pick up their child from school or a party. And for those who have a job, the screen and spacious interior will be an ideal solution for video conferences. Instead of looking at your smartphone or laptop, you can sit more comfortably and not only see all the participants in the conversation in perfect high-definition clarity, but also listen to them with crystal clear sound of impeccable quality.

A second, smaller, oblong-shaped touch screen is located in the center of the hand-stitched leather instrument panel. Located between the driver and passenger, it allows both front-seat passengers to effortlessly control many of the vehicle’s functions, such as navigation, heating, ventilation and entertainment.

The SUV is equipped with an expressive steering wheel of an oblong shape, resembling a rocker, with the AEHRA logo. There is also an Italian flag badge, indicating that AEHRA is Italy’s first and only pure electric car brand. A small digital strip inserted at the top of the steering wheel provides the driver with additional key information.

AEHRA plans to introduce this SUV and sedan early next year.
