The company’s letters say that they promise to restore access to the frozen accounts and platforms if users leave Russia or Belarus.

Upwork, the world’s largest freelance platform, has blocked user accounts from Russia and Belarus. This was reported by the Russian media with reference to letters in which the company informed freelancers about the ban on accounts.

The letters are about freezing the accounts of users who are physically located in these countries. In case of change of residence, access to the platform is promised to be restored. Upwork announced the suspension of work in Russia and Belarus on March 7, but allowed to complete the contracts.
