The Ministry of Reintegration told Ukrainians how to protect themselves from combat drones

On October 17, Russia attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones. In Kyiv, one of the Iranian ‘martyrs’ hit a residential building — people died.

Kamikaze drones can carry several tens of kilograms of explosives and create a powerful shock wave when hit, the Ministry of Reintegration reports.

Fortunately, our air defense manages to shoot down most of the enemy UAVs, but our own safety is paramount. The Ministry of Reintegration has collected tips on how to recognize UAVs and protect yourself from these weapons.

Yes, the Ministry notes: the Shahed UAV engine is loud. When approaching, a sound similar to the engine of a moped or a chainsaw can be heard in the air. Therefore, if a person hears such a sound, he needs to hide in a shelter – basements, basement floors, underground parking lots, passages or follow the ‘two walls’ rule.

The Ministry of Reintegration also warns – do not stay in transport. Get out and run as far away from the road as possible. Find shelter as far as possible from military, strategic facilities and administrative institutions.

Take into account – do not hide in entrances, under arches, on stairwells, in the basements of panel buildings, near automobile equipment, gas stations, etc.

On October 11, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated that, according to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia had ordered 2,400 Shahid drones from Iran.

On October 17, Russia launched 28 kamikaze drones towards Kyiv. In the sky of the central regions of the country, the Armed Forces shot down 11 drones. Some of the Iranian ‘martyrs’ hit energy infrastructure facilities, as well as a residential building in one of the districts of the capital — 4 people died, including a pregnant woman.
