The Committee recommended adopting draft laws N10219 and N10220 on amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine, the Tax Code of Ukraine and other laws of Ukraine on providing the security and defense forces with vehicles in the first reading. Danylo Hetmantsev talks about this.
The purpose of the draft laws is to introduce short-term incentive tax and customs benefits to help local governments provide security and defense forces with a sufficient number of vehicles.
To this end, the drafts propose to provide for the period of martial law in Ukraine, but no later than December 31, 2024, exemption from import duty on vehicles under the codes specified in the drafts that are imported into Ukraine at the expense of local budgets.
